Shops and Establishments/ Trade License is required for operating from a place of business.Any place of business such as offices, shops and commercial establishments require a trade license from the concerned Corporation, Municipality or State Government under the respective Governments Shops and Establishment Act. Before applying, the entity needs to understand the jurisdiction/territorial limits under which it would come as the rules and regulations depend on the location of the entity.

VALIDITY OF SHOPS AND ESTABLISHMENTS TRADE LICENSE

Usually, the Shops and Establishments Trade License is given by the Commissioner of the local Corporation of the location of the entity. Usually, the validity of the license is for the period of one year and has to be renewed annually.
